What is the Field House?

The Field House is a 1,000 square foot, private event space in the new Varsity Park storage building. Overlooking River’s Edge Park and Mill Mountain, the Field House is truly extraordinary. This well-appointed, comfortable space features classic décor and a distinguished look. Amenities include 3 oversized UHD televisions, a premium sound system, and a wet bar with beverage centers and an ice maker. A catering kitchen* and private patio provide great flexibility for a variety of events. (*Separate fee.)


What type of events can you have at the Field House?

The Field House is versatile and ideal for meetings, luncheons, private parties, sporting event viewing, receptions, dinners, group get-togethers, and special event hosting. The space may be set up in a number of configurations.


How many people can the Field House hold?

The Field House is equally comfortable with an intimate group of 4 or a larger event with up to 50, depending on your selected set-up for the event.


Can I host an event any time?

The Field House is available 7 days a week and during the day as well as evenings. It may also be rented for an entire day or weekend (inquire about special pricing). Subject to availability.


What is the cost?

The Field House is rented hourly and has a minimum charge. The hourly rate and minimum vary, depending on the day of the week. Some dates (i.e., New Years Eve, the Super Bowl, etc.) have premium pricing.

There are one-time charges for cleaning and premium options (use of catering kitchen, bar rental, etc.). 

*NOTE: All time in the space is charged, including time before the event (set up, caterer, etc.) and after the event (clean up).


What about food? Alcohol?

You may provide and bring in your own food, including by a caterer. The Field House has a very nice catering kitchen (additional fee applies). We can recommend a caterer.

We encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol and require all applicable laws/ordinances and permitting to be observed.


May I see the space before reserving?

Of course. Prior to making a reservation, interested parties should schedule a time to visit the space to ensure that it meets their needs. A second visit, before the event, may be required for a facility orientation and more detailed, event-specific information.


Who can rent the Field House?

The primary contact/renter, must be at least 21 years of age. The renter must be present, at all times, throughout the event. The person contracting the reservation is ‘the renter,’ and the responsible party of the event.


Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. Cancellations must be made in writing or email. Fees may apply.


How do you handle payment?

Payment in full is required to confirm your reservation. A credit card must be on file in the event of time overage, space/item damage or loss, or additional charges.


How do I make a reservation?
