What is a SkyBox?

A private, personal space that’s a perfect getaway for those seeking a quiet place to read, reflect or reconnect with one’s passions. The SkyBoxes can be used for fun or more serious pursuits. They can be your she-shed or man cave. They are not traditional offices, and each is named after an iconic sports venue.

Where are they located?

The SkyBoxes are on the 2nd floor of Virginia Varsity’s new storage building at Varsity Park and overlook River’s Edge South, Mill Mountain and the Virginia Tech/Carilion campus.

What can you do in a SkyBox?

The list is endless- savor “you time,” read, write that novel, blog, catch up on things, plan your week, shop, listen to music, visit with a friend, dream, nap, read the news, research, invest, have a Zoom meeting, apply for a grant, play Madden, you name it. The sky’s the limit as long as it’s legal and abides by the building’s rules.

What hours can you use the SkyBox?

6:00 am-10:00 pm. These are the same building hours for storage customers.

Can I bring friends or my spouse/partner?

Parking is subject to availability. Parking in loading zones is strictly prohibited.  Guests (driving separately) must park in public parking.

What can you NOT do in a SkyBox?

Guests must follow the same rules and are your responsibility. As a professional building and for the protection and enjoyment of all, SkyBox renters and their guests are subject to a strict code of conduct.
